Kike Maíllo / Director

In 1994 he began studying film in ESCAC, where he graduated in the specialty of Direction field with the shortfilms LAS CABRAS DE FREUD (1999), with Tristan Ulloa as the main character, and LOS PERROS DE PAVLOV (2003) starring Andrés Gertrudix, Marta Larralde and Críspulo Cabezas. Both shortfilms got a long list of awards including Best Short Film Award at MECAL 2004 and Best Screenplay and Special Jury Award at the Munich Film Festival.

In 2000 he began his career as a filmmaker in the field of advertising. To this day, he has signed more than 30 television campaigns for brands like Nestle, Fotoprix, Telepizza, Cola Cao, Consum, Caixa de Pensions, F.C. Barcelona, Chips Ahoy, Euskaltel o Costa Blanca and has made pieces for cultural institutions such as Curtficcions, Base Film Festival, University of Barcelona, Filmoteca de Catalunya and Mercat de les Flors; short pieces that have won awards like Premi Drac Award for Best Direction. During this period, Kike Maíllo has also directed several music videos for artists such as Pastora Soler, Raphael and Manos de Topo.

In 2009 he made the hit animated series for adults ARRÒS COVAT, from an original idea by Juanjo Saez, winner of an Ondas Award, among others.

He has also directed his first feature film, EVA, a futuristic science fiction history starring Daniel Brühl, Marta Etura, Alberto Ammann, Claudia Vega and Lluis Homar. This film has been distributed in over 50 countries by Paramount, Wild Bunch and The Weinstein Company.

Toni Carrizosa / Producer

He graduated from ESCAC in the Production field. After a year, he produced many music videos for OBK (J.A. Bayona), El Arrebato (J.A. Bayona), Manos de Topo (Kike Maíllo), El Langui (Kike Maíllo) and commercials for La Caixa, Hot Wheels, Barça TV, Sindic de Greuges, Coca Cola…

In 2006, he steps into the production world of feature films with YO, de Rafa Cortés which wins the Critics Award in the 2007 Rotterdam Film Festival, FIPRESCI Cannes Revelation of the year 2007 and Navaja de Buñuel Award from TVE.

In 2007 and 2008, he works for Jet Films SA producing tv movies like: Yo, el desconocido and Wendy Placa 20957.

In 2009 he achieves the line producing with TRES DIAS CON LA FAMILIA by Mar Coll which receives critical acclaim and several awards including the Goya Award for Best New Director, the Best Director, Actor and Actress Awards at Malaga Festival and Gaudis’ Awards for Best Catalan Picture, Best Actress and Best Director.

In 2010, he produces EVA by Kike Maíllo, the first Spanish robot film.

In September 2010 he joined the Fiction Department of EL TERRAT de Produccions as a Producer where he produced several projects for TV like Zombis, AdultSwim Made In Spain, and Palomitas.
