Sábado Películas is a production company that started in 2011 by Kike Maíllo and Toni Carrizosa.
After years of working together as Director and Producer in many projects, we decided to create our own production company so we could develop our most personal projects like music videos and commercials, and support the young authors in their first feature films.
With this spirit, our first big project with Sábado Peliculas, “the microbudget films”, is born: a co-production agreement with Escándalo Films to produce 3 films with a low budget but full of emotion, originality and good ideas.

“ Year 2111. In a hospital space station called Nabuk, anchored in the depths of space, an adolescent scientist must resurrect a dangerous and attractive prisoner. Between them a forbidden love will surge that will bring them to defy the controlling system that has them trapped.”
Synopsis:
The future. The young 17-year-old Bor and her 15-year-old sister Alina are the only two doctors in the small hospital spaceship called Nabuk-2111, located in one of the most isolated corners of the cosmos.
These Nabuks are hospital-spaceships where regenesis processes are performed, that is, the science of the future. Based on genetic findings, regenesis is the medical technology used to revive a human corpse – provided it is kept in perfect condition- after 7 years approximately, taking on small signs of activity that regenerate in the body and, if with time these signs are stimulated adequately, they can reactivate the normal functioning of the body, bringing the corpse back to life. The regenesis process doesn’t end here; it continues on with the necessary physical and psychological treatment for the patient to “relocate” back to its past life and gradually recover some memory of it.
Bor and Alina have lived their entire lives alone in their small Nabuk, which they inherited from their parents who were killed in the Lubos wars 7 years ago. Since then, they have lived with the occasional company of a few bodies sent from Central Command, the coordinating-supervising organ of all the Nabuks, which then they revive and treat, and once restored, they are sent back to their homes, a process that lasts approximately two or three weeks per patient.
Despite their precocity, Bor and Nea are considered two of the most renowned medical experts for regenesis. In their 5 years of practice, they have successfully revived 39 dead bodies that have passed through their Nabuk, without any mistakes.
However, Bor and Nea begin to get tired of their routine and boredom. All of their permission requests to leave the ship for a few months to see the world are constantly denied by Max, the head of Command, a sophisticated-looking man in his 60s, who was also a close friend of their parents. Although Bor and Alina are disappointed by Max’s constant negative responses, they finally obey.
But the main problem will come with the particular case of Nea, the second patient on board, a beautiful 23-year-old girl who 7 years ago was one of the most bloodthirsty killers in the rebel side that lost the Lubos wars. Nea died in one of the last battles of the war, but her body was intercepted by the Command to send it to the nearest Nabuk, which happened to be Bor and Alina’s, so years later they will return her to life and take her to the Command, where she would be judged and sentenced to death. This proves the absurdity of having to bring her back to life just to be sentenced to death. With this decision, Command wants to impose justice; the law first. So, Nea is a convict. To Bor and Alina, however, when she wakes up is just another patient and they treat her like one … until the unexpected comes: love. Bor, during the rehabilitation process, will feel for Nea something he had never felt before and that becomes mutual, but also impossible because of the fact that she will be sentenced to death in a few weeks, when the treatment ends. This fatality and Bor’s convincement that Nea is now a different person that has nothing to do with the killer that she was before, pushes Bor to face the Almighty Command, knowing the strict consequences that this action can bring to them, now that he has caused a revolt.

Synopsis:
What if the nerd of the class, the one that everyone makes fun of during the long school year, happens to have a skill, let’s say supernatural, that would get him revenge?
Germán is the “loser” of the class. Everyone wonders why he is attending the school trip to the woods organized at the end of the school year. What interest can he have to spend four days in the woods getting punched by his “dear partners”?
There are three councellors and twenty kids, among them Marta, a plump and self-consciuos eighteen year old girl in love with Robert, the most handsome boy of the class. Her objective in the trip is to confess to Robert that she is the one who has been flirting with him on twitter. She will dare to confess to his face and see his reaction, no matter which it will be.
But her plans change when she discovers something amazing: Germán has the power to get inside people’s bodies, to put his “spirit” within the other bodies and pretend to be them. He plans to use this power to take revenge on the ones who have made his life impossible, that is, everyone.
At first, Martha can’t believe it, but soon, strange things start to happen in the camp, little tricks that will be just the beginning. If it’s a party-pooper-thing when someone starts feeling sick at a party, imagine what it would feel like when at a summer camp festival two monitors and a student are found dead. What had to be a lark becomes a surreal survival game.
Susi, the slut who has fucked half of the class, Bogdan, the Romanian inmigrant trying to fit in, Lydia, the annoying hippie (and her guitar), Nico, the virgin eager to finally get laid, Albert and Francis, the two stoners who have left their spliffs back home and, of course, Marta and Robert, will all struggle to escape Germán’s revenge.
But, how do you defend yourself from someone who can get into your body? Or in whoever’s body is besides you? How to defend yourself when your best friend has threatened you to death? How do you go to sleep without knowing if Germán is sleeping next to you? And above all, what do you do in the middle of this chaos if Marta makes out with handsome Robert, Nico manages to lose his virginity and Albert and Francis make a damn joint?

“When a man has a to quiet life is that she is coming soon”
Sinopsis:
Marcos, a thirty-three year old guy, always imagined that at this point in his life he would be the manager of a team of architects, that he would live with his girlfriend, a beautiful and attractive charming woman, and that together they would decorate a flat in Ikea style, where they would live together while expecting a child that they would name Leo. And this is exactly how things happened in his life.
So, why does he gets up every morning wanting to run away? Maybe because sometimes the lack of surprises in life may be the biggest problem. But one Friday night a surprise falls over his car. A thirty-inch TV smashes the rear window of his minivan, tearing apart the model that he must present in what would be the most important meeting of his life. It is all Laura’s fault, an eighteen year old girl who is ready to conquer the world.
When all of Marcos’ colleagues refuse to help him with the model, the only remaining option is Laura, who offers out of guilt to help him. Although Marcos rejects her at first, he soon realizes that in fact she is his only option to fix the model and his concerns in just one night.
Marcos and Laura visit Nico, a high-skilled guy in the models, Laura says. Nico is a fan of RPG dioramas and they only make medieval castles and villages full of orcs. Marcos is not convinced, but he has no other choice but to trust him.
While Nico is working, Marcos and Laura start to know each other, and together, they go through the city in an exciting evening discovering how much they have in common. Laura brings Marcos back to his adolescence nostalgia, and Marcos makes Laura feel understood for the first time in her life. Laura, who is going to Berlin the next day because nothing of this city fulfilled her, begins to wonder if she finally found a reason to stay.
That night also makes Marcos question everything that until now was a given in his life. Is it Ana, his girlfriend, with whom he really wants to spend the rest of his life? Is he ready to have a child? Has he grown older too fast?
All these questions are beginning to gain weight on Marcos head, and he knows that when this night ends, he must have an answer.
Meanwhile, the relationship between Marcos and Laura becomes closer every hour, until finally Laura kisses Marcos. He pauses for a few seconds, but finally tells to Laura that he can’t do it. He has a girlfriend and he is expecting a child. It can’t be. Laura leaves, leaving Marcos alone.
Marcos goes back to Nicos’ home. The model is perfect, but still he can’t draw a smile. Marcos searches for Laura and promise her that if he were ten years younger he would go with her to Berlin. But that’s not his life, his life is another. Laura understands.
Marcos goes to his meeting and presents his model, but something seems to worry him because he can’t stop watching his watch. Marcos rushes out of the meeting, something is left undone, and goes to the airport in full speed.
Marcos understands that being nostalgic for his adolescence is useless, he understand that that moment is gone. Ana, his girlfriend, is waiting for him at the airport, coming back from a business trip. This is what Marcos chooses. They hug each other, while he knows that what remains of his adolescence is travelling with Laura to Berlin at that moment.
